Illuminated check engine light
Poor engine performance
Rough idle or stalling
Reduced engine power or acceleration
Failed oxygen sensor heater
Faulty wiring or connections in the heater circuit
Loose or corroded electrical connections
Failed engine control module (ECM)
Heated Oxygen Sensor: This is one of the parts that fails very commonly. It measures the amount of oxygen to ensure proper combustion. Problems in the Oxygen Sensor lead to poor fuel economy
Replace the oxygen sensor
Check and repair any damaged wiring or connections in the heater circuit
Tighten or clean any loose or corroded electrical connections
Replace the engine control module (ECM) if necessary
